Here's how charisma is learnable
+ a secret weapon for your 2025 goals
Ever notice how the most compelling people aren't necessarily the loudest in the room?
While listening to Kim Scott's Radical Candor this week, I had a realisation about charisma that completely shifted my perspective.
If you're analytical and thoughtful (maybe even a recovering perfectionist), this might change how you think about your own presence.
I'm also planning something special for our 2025 goal-setting (more on that below).
But first, let's talk about the science behind being magnetic, and why it matters for your career growth.
In this issue:
How to actually build charisma

I’ve been listening to Kim Scott’s Radical Candour this week.
Part of being a Financial Hot Girl is having charisma—it increases your earning potential because it makes you a better employee, boss, entrepreneur etc.
This book isn’t directly a lesson in building charisma, but it’s about being a good boss, and charisma plays into a lot of the lessons taught here.
Being charismatic is the balance of warmth and competence:
Having warmth could look like caring personally—building trust with people doesn’t mean being overly friendly or open (a mistake I’ve made in the past).
It means acknowledging someone’s goals, feelings and challenges.Having competence could look like challenging directly—it’s not about being brutally honest, but delivering feedback with the other person’s goals in mind.
We need to avoid ‘ruinous empathy’ (caring but avoiding conflict) and obnoxious aggression (challenging without care).
How can you implement these two behaviours in your business or workplace this week? Think about it and you’ll be on your way to building charisma.

2025 won’t see you coming with this
The 100 day sprint is coming back for round two, except we’re being laser focussed on progress next year.
If you’re looking to build discipline, mentally, physically and financially, you’ll want to join the waitlist for cohort 2. Clue: we’re not repeating the 100 day challenge. We’re getting real focussed.
I’m hosting a live goal planning workshop! I’ll be planning my goals in the coming weeks and want to invite you along with me to do it live.
I have a method, specific to my own personality: I don’t want to be overwhelmed, I believe in the science behind goal-setting and habit-building, and I dream big. If you want to join, RSVP here.

Have you ever been openly friendly with someone thinking it makes you come off more caring and warm? I did it ALL the time 😅
Have you ever had a feedback session go completely wrong?
Do you set goals—if so, do you often fall off track? I used to set goals and forget them for years… 2020 changed everything for me!
