it's been 19 days. have you fallen off?
+ a sneak peak into my Notion dashboard
You’re reading this on January 19th (hopefully) and I’m wondering… how many of your New Years Resolutions have you already negotiated with?
Did you make it past national quitters day (January 10th)?
I’m turning on my mean older sister personality today — I want you to answer this truthfully.
Because before 2024, I was constantly falling off my ‘new’ goals. I was severely lacking in the discipline arena.
You know by now that I really learnt and embodied self-discipline when I completed 75 hard. And this year, I’ve turned it up a notch by improving on what I found difficult last year.
P.S. keep scrolling for a peek at my Notion dashboard!!! You’ve been asking for this reveal for YEARS 😅
Anyway, let’s take a look at how I’m doing this, with the help of science of course — so you can copy me and stay on track with your goals this year.
How I’m staying on track
I remind myself of why I want to change my life, daily
I track the tiny things (taking vitamins, drinking water, reading 10 pages)
I separate specific tasks into weekly and daily
Old me did these things, but sporadically. I’d use a goal planner maybe once a month and think “ah, I was supposed to do that everyday. Shoot.” 🌚
It’s so easy to sit back and let weeks go by.
Trust me, I’ve done it. I’ve sat in the paralysis of fear: what happens if I become my best self? Will people dislike me? Will it be worth all the discomfort? Will anything even change? Things seem ~fine~ now….
Thinking about those things is frankly useless. I won’t reach my goals overnight, and that’s a good thing. It means that I can zoom in and focus on my daily habitual changes.
Walking instead of scrolling, reading instead of watching Law and Order SVU.
In my Notion dashboard (not visible in the screenshot below) is my why: and it’s VERY deep lol. It’s something that when I read it, makes me want to immediately get up and get to work. It literally lights something up inside me.
I have sections for weekly tasks and daily tracking, so that visually I know what to do once I’m in my dashboard.
I make it easy and non-overwhelming to make sure I keep doing the thing.
The infamous dashboard
Since 2019 I’ve been a die-hard Notion stan, and have used it to manage my personal productivity.
Since starting my YouTube channel in 2020, it turned into a hub for my creative pursuits and personal goals.
I’ve switched up my personal template a few times but over 2024 I found a system that really truly works!!!
I hate getting overwhelmed by an organisation system (to be honest, that’s why certain planners have never worked for me… there’s too much going on) AND I love science-backed productivity.
Here are the specific tasks I do regularly.

My goals tracker

My personal dashboard i.e. my BEST friend
Every night:
I open up my habit tracker and tick off my Project 60 habits (I have a phone view so it’s not a huge planner on mobile)
I align the next day with the weekly actions needed to hit my quarterly milestones (avoid distraction)
Every week:
I plan my week using the weekly task tracker in my personal dashboard (unseen at the bottom - I work on a Monday - Weekend task dump basis)
I review my progress towards my quarterly milestones
Write a weekly review (either in Notion or in my journal, this is where I mix it up but I keep a template in Notion)
Weekly tasks are specifically weekly tasks because….science says so!
Reflections are more useful and meaningful to do on a weekly basis, whereas habit alignment and focus have more impact on a daily basis.
Action for you: give daily habit tracking + weekly reflections a go this week. What daily, TINY habits do you need to implement to achieve your goals? How can you review your feelings and progress on a weekly basis?
