the full body exhale you need today
this week’s YouTube is a reality check + The Richual is how we stay in the game
This week’s newsletter is a full-body exhale if you’ve been holding onto shame about money or your creative identity.
I’ve got a cringe mountain masterclass for you as well as the one habit that helped me stop ghosting myself way back in 2020, and took me out of years of maintaining a negative net worth to 5 figures invested.
In this issue:
The Cringe Mountain Masterclass
Part 5 of my part-time creator series just dropped on YouTube and this week we’re tackling cringe mountain: the thing that stops you before ‘strategy’, ‘niche’ and ‘posting times’ get in the way.
There is no content to analyse or improve if you don’t get over cringe mountain, so IMO it’s the biggest blocker that most people need to get over if they want to start building personal brands part-time.
Cringe doesn’t just happen when you’re scared of judgement… I think the perfectionists reading this are prone to cringing at themselves. I do it ALL the time: if an idea’s not ‘good enough’, ‘1% better’ or ‘unique’ I will shut it down and not post. Outcome-wise, it’s the same thing — I end up on the wrong side of cringe mountain.
I also highly recommend Susan Jeffers book Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway, it’s one I read back in 2020 when I blocked everyone I knew before launching my YouTube channel out of pure fear of judgement.

Introducing The Richual
Back in 2020 when I was in my overdraft, scared to look at my bank account, and constantly asking “where the hell did my money go?” — I got out of that position with a monthly habit I still do today:
→ 1 hour
→ Track your spending
→ Check in with your goals
→ Full body exhale
It’s the one habit that was both the most anxiety inducing thing to start, yet gave me the financial self-respect to keep going and end up with 5 figures invested after years of maintaining a negative net worth.
And with summer around the corner… aka wedding invites, last-minute flights, and seven different versions of “just come for one drink”, this is the moment to stop hoping you’ll magically get better with money and actually build the habit that builds progress.
That’s why I’ve created The Richual. It’s a monthly live session where we sit down, get cosy and track our transactions together.
No slides, no fluff, just one hour and one ritual to clean up your money and your mindset, with the comfort of knowing you’re not doing it by yourself.
If you’d book a co-working session to finally get through your to-do list, or sign up for Pilates to stay consistent with your goals… this is that — but for your money.

Here’s what you’ll get:
A simple transaction tracker you can set up in 15 minutes (set up tutorial included)
One call a month to actually do the thing you keep meaning to do (with me!!!)
Soon: resources and exciting features to help you stick to this habit
The first Richual is on June 2nd, 6pm BST. Join below if you’re ready to build the financial self-respect that’s gonna take you places. It all starts with one habit.
Join The Richual → (£22/month, cancel anytime)
If you show up even once, you’re already building more self-respect than most people ever do with their money.
What I’ve been loving this week
An insight into the emotions and reality of cutting your shopping habits
For any Scotland or Edinburgh residents, I have been obsessed with the banh mi’s at The Bami on Leith Walk. The honey chicken and a salted coffee are amazing!
Making money on Vinted and following through on my challenge to become an underconsumer
Personally… I think that the same fears driving your fears of being cringe show up when you’re scared to look at your money.
It’s a lack of self-belief, and I’m speaking from experience here. So whether you give the masterclass a watch or join the Richual, or simply make and keep a promise to yourself this week, I hope you start building on your self-belief a bit more. It’ll get you places!
