what most creators get wrong about momentum
the state of mind that separates dreamers from doers
I’ve seen my favourite creators and entrepreneurs take sabbaticals and even quit their businesses because of burnout.
The truth is, I’d rather build a business slowly, after I’ve built a good foundation of discipline — rather than after the bad habits have calcified while trying to go for gold.
So when I talk about my step count, my workouts, my fibre and protein, my experience learning Spanish… I’m talking about the habits that help me show up on TikTok with good energy and unique ideas.
The stuff that then attracts a loyal audience. A loyal audience that then turns into a supportive community (you guys 🫶).
And if I had to bet on where the future of creator-led businesses is heading, it’s here.
Nervous system regulation is going to be the real differentiator in the next wave of content-led business, and no one’s saying that out loud.
In this issue:
Creators who regulate last longer
I know this whole “nervous system” thing can sound like just another wellness trend, but it’s the real foundational of a sustainable content-led business.
The creators I respect the most, i.e. the ones who stay consistent without losing their energy — all have some kind of nervous system regulation baked into their routine.
A dysregulated nervous system makes your prefrontal cortex (the thinking, creative, decision-making part of your brain) less available. You start spiralling in survival mode, stuck in overthinking, doomscrolling, or complete avoidance (I’ve been there).
And love her or not, Grace Beverley is a great example of someone who’s scaled a brand, shows up online consistently, and still makes time to train, eat well, and openly talks about her boundaries.
This interview talks about how she systemises downtime and doesn't perform productivity. Which, in my opinion, is exactly why she still shows up with a clear voice.
Don’t get me wrong, Grace has gone through burnout to understand how to structure her life to prevent it. So this isn’t to say you need to have a perfect, stress free live to thrive as a creator.
But I think you have longevity as one if you prioritise the structure of your life, your feelings, and your habits before over-optimising your outputs.
You’re invited: build good habits with me
From my countless hours of research, trial and error, I know the habits that when stacked, allow me to be the best version of myself and regulate my nervous system.
So I put these habits into a challenge. Remember the 100-day sprint last year? The one where over 1,300 of you signed up, and I was hosting live calls every fortnight??
Guess how many people actually made it to the end? Less than 10!
Not because they didn’t care about their habits, but because three months is a long time to stay consistent when you have no stake in the game and a wavering sense of why you want to do it.
So this time, it’s 30 days. And I’m doing it live with you, because I’ve got some projects to finish in July 👀 (creator related!!!)
We’re focussing on 4 daily habits to build business momentum while NOT burning out:
30 minutes of movement
One deep focus session
Daily financial check-in
Daily post (even if it’s low effort)
We’re also doing co-working sessions together, weekly accountability check-ins, and drop-ins from your favourite internet IT girls whom I trust to tell the truth about how they stay mentally, physically, and financially hot.
And because accountability and community is the ONE thing that helps you actually stay disciplined: you can bring a friend for free in July!
(P.S. if you were part of the original sprint, you’re getting OG pricing. Check your emails - this was sent out already!)
If you want to join but can’t commit fully, there’s another option here for you too.
Confessions of a maybe-mother: coming Tuesday ☕️

This week on the Financial Hot Girl show
I’m moving the show’s motherhood episode drop date to Tuesday because of just how much conversation this has sparked. Look out for this on socials and the YouTube channel!
Have a great week and see you in the comments with your thoughts!!!
